Creating the World’s First Machine Learning Street Tree Inventory

Join us Thursday, June 16, 2022, from 1:00-2:00 PM EDT as we discuss how tree inventories have evolved from pen & paper to GIS-based & beyond. Today we are able to confidently and cost-effectively perform street tree inventories using machine learning with Google Street view. 

Leveraging machine learning street tree inventories can unlock huge potential for proactive maintenance with real-time data. In this presentation, we’ll share the methodology and demonstrate what applications are right for machine learning. We will share recent case study results from Southern California where we mapped 400,000 trees in 3 weeks with 95% accuracy. 

The session will provide the attendees with the knowledge to:

• Determine which application is appropriate for using machine learning to extract Google street view data.
